There are many incredible cities in the world, but I think Paris is the best. It’s a beautiful place with a rich history and culture. The Louvre Museum

The Louvre is the largest museum in the world. It’s located in Paris and contains thousands of famous paintings, including Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa.

The Louvre was originally built as a fortress by Philip II of France in the 12th century, but it was transformed into a palace during the Renaissance period by Francois I (1494-1547). The king then filled his new home with art from all over Europe–some say that he stole much of it from other countries!

During World War II (1939-1945), Hitler ordered German soldiers to take valuable pieces from museums all over Europe and bring them back to Germany for safekeeping; these include works by Rembrandt van Rijn (#4), Vincent van Gogh (#3) and Claude Monet (#1). However when Allied forces retook France after D-Day (June 6 1944), they were able to repatriate many works back where they belonged – if they survived being damaged during air raids on Berlin.”

Invalides is a complex of buildings in Paris, France, containing museums and monuments, all relating to the military history of France, as well as a hospital and a retirement home for war veterans. The building’s full name is Les Invalides.

The site was originally used as a hospital during the French Revolution; it was then re-established as an army veterans’ retirement home by Napoleon I after his defeat at Waterloo in 1815.

The tower reaches up more than 230 feet (70 meters), making it taller than any other church tower across Europe except St Paul’s Cathedral which stands at 231 feet (70 meters).

The Palace of Versailles is a symbol of French power and wealth. It was built as a hunting lodge for Louis XIII, but has been expanded by Louis XIV and Louis XV. The palace is now one of the world’s largest châteaus, hosting over 1 million visitors each year.

The palace has become an UNESCO World Heritage Site because it exemplifies French Baroque architecture in all its glory: ornate sculptures, gilded ceilings and walls covered in murals depicting classical scenes from mythology.
